Airlie was the long dominating house amongst the original four (currently three) houses, particularly until the house system was revised in the 1970’s, although now falling behind in recent years not having won the house championship since 2007.

As with the other houses, the namesake of the house is a Scottish castle, originally built by the Ogilvies’ in the 1400’s, nearby to Kirriemuir and the small village of Airlie in Angus. This original castle was burnt and destroyed in 1640 and current manor, Built in the 1790’s incorporates parts of the original castle that still stood.

Below is a list of the former House Captains that have represented Airlie throughout the years. For ’32/33 only one House Captian was elected.
