Mains, historically the weakest perfoming house among the four (currently three), has really picked up in recent years having won 4 times within the 2010’s and most recently the 22/23 Championship, Defeating Cortachy’s 6 year streak.

The namesake for Mains comes much closer to home than the other castles, being Mains Castle, Located just up the road from the school in Caird Park. The original castle was owned by the Grahams of Fintry, being built in the 1560’s to the 1580’s, Then sold to the Erskine’s in the 1800’s and then finally sold to James Caird who donated the castle and lands to the Town Council as a public park. The castle was also renovated in the 1980’s as it had grown into disrepair.

Below is a list of the former House Captains that have represented Mains throughout the years. For ’32/33 only one House Captian was elected.
