Glamis

Glamis was a middling house throughtout it’s existance. It coasted along until Council budget cuts in 2012 resulted in the loss of two guidance postions and a depute postiton and glamis being mothballed into the other houses.

Glamis Castle is likely the most famous castle of the 4 houses. Glamis has traces back to prehistoric times, with pictish stones. The site grew to having a royal hunting lodge at the time that Malcolm II was murdered in 1034, with a castle being established by the 1370’s where it was granted to the lyon family, to with it remains today, being rebuilt in the early 1600’s, renovated in the later half of the century, with baroque gardens added. Most of the interior now dates to the 17/1800’s.

Below is a list of the former House Captains that have represented Glamis throughout the years, until it’s end. For ’32/33 only one House Captian was elected.
