Cortachy stands as the currently dominating house amongs the three (previously four houses), winning the championship straight from 2017-2023, Despite historically playing second fiddle to Airlie.

Cortachy Castle is perhaps the least known castle of the house namesakes. The castle again sits nearby to kirriemuir, and near the village of cortachy. The currently standing castle being built sometime in the 1400’s and bought by the Ogilvies in the latter half of that century, with major renovations in the 1600’s and the 1800’s, the latter heavily focused on romantising the property. It is still owned by the Ogilvies today.
